About 6XC

What 6XC is

6XC is a free collection of online calculators and utilities — from mortgage and severance calculators to colour pickers, unit converters, CSS generators and astronomical charts. There is no sign-up, no paywall and no trial period. You open a page, use the tool and leave.

Every tool is available in eleven languages: English, Turkish, German, French, Dutch, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Korean and Arabic. These are genuine localisations, not machine-swapped labels — units, number formats, currencies, date conventions and, where it matters, the underlying assumptions change with the language.

Your data stays in your browser

Almost every tool on this site runs entirely as JavaScript inside your browser. When you enter your salary into a severance calculator, your weight into a body-fat estimator or your birth date into a natal chart, that number is processed on your own device and is never transmitted to our server. We do not have a database of your calculations, because the calculations never reach us.

A small number of tools genuinely need outside data — live exchange rates, weather forecasts, earthquake feeds, DNS records. Those tools call a public API directly from your browser, and we say so on the page. The privacy policy lists every third-party service involved.

How the tools are built

The aim is that each tool gives the answer a specialist would give, not a rounded-off approximation. A few concrete examples:

  • Natal charts use JPL approximate Kepler elements for the planets and the Placidus system for house cusps, computed with Meeus' algorithms — including the mean lunar nodes and mean Lilith.
  • Loss-of-earning-capacity calculations use the full TRH-2010 mortality table (ages 0–97, male and female remaining life expectancy) rather than a flat multiplier.
  • The barcode generator implements Code128 with the complete 107-pattern width table, automatic Mode C compression for digit runs, and a mod-103 checksum.
  • Body-fat estimates use the US Navy circumference formulas, and calorie needs use the Mifflin-St Jeor equation — the same ones clinicians and trainers reference.
  • The EXIF cleaner parses TIFF/IFD structures itself and strips metadata by skipping segments losslessly, so your photo is not re-encoded.

Where a method has known limits, the tool says so on the page instead of hiding it. Where a calculation depends on a figure that changes over time — a statutory ceiling, a tax rate — we ask you to enter the current value rather than quietly shipping a stale number.

What we deliberately don't do

  • No accounts. There is nothing to register for, so there is no profile to leak.
  • No selling data. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
  • No fake urgency. No countdown timers, no "3 people are viewing this", no manufactured scarcity.
  • No tools we can't stand behind. Some calculators were deliberately left unbuilt because the official basis for them was repealed and no reliable replacement exists. We would rather have a gap than a confident wrong answer.

Corrections and requests

If a result looks wrong, it might be. Formulas get misread and edge cases get missed. Every tool page has a "Report a problem" link, and there is a tool request form if something you need is missing. Corrections are taken seriously — an incorrect calculator is worse than no calculator.
