Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 July 2026

The short version

The numbers you type into the tools on this site are processed inside your own browser and are never sent to our server. We keep no database of your calculations. What we do collect is limited to anonymous usage statistics and, if you choose to write to us, the contents of your message.

What we collect

Usage statistics

We use Google Analytics to understand which tools people use and which pages are broken. It records things like page address, referring page, approximate location (derived from IP, at city level), browser and device type, and time on page. The analytics script is loaded only after the page has finished rendering. Google processes this data as described in its own privacy policy; we see it only in aggregate.

Messages you send us

The contact form, the tool request form and the "report a problem" link ask for your name, e-mail address and message. When you submit one, that information — along with your IP address and the interface language you were using — is sent to the site owner as an e-mail. It is not written to a database or shared with anyone else. It stays in the owner's mailbox for as long as needed to handle the matter, and you can ask for it to be deleted at any time.

What we do not collect

  • Your tool inputs. Salaries, weights, birth dates, blood pressure readings, passwords generated, text pasted for formatting — all of it stays on your device. It is never transmitted to us, so we could not disclose it even if compelled to.
  • Accounts. There is no registration, so there are no usernames, passwords or profiles.
  • Payment information. Nothing on this site is for sale.

Cookies and local storage

The site itself sets very little:

  • 6xc_dil — a cookie remembering which language you last viewed the site in, so that visiting the bare address takes you to the right version.
  • 6xc-tema — stored in your browser's local storage; remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme.
  • 6xc-fav-… — stored in your browser's local storage; the list of tools you starred as favourites. This list never leaves your browser.
  • A temporary PHP session cookie, used only while a form is being submitted to validate the spam check.

Google Analytics sets its own cookies, and the spam-protection and advertising services described below may do the same. You can clear all of these at any time through your browser settings; the site continues to work without them, you will simply lose your theme choice and favourites.

Advertising

6XC is free and is intended to be supported by advertising. When advertising is displayed, it is served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to show ads based on your previous visits to this or other sites. You can review and adjust how Google personalises advertising at Google My Ad Center, and opt out of personalised advertising more broadly at aboutads.info. Advertising never has access to the values you enter into the tools, because those values never leave your browser.

Third-party services

Some pages load resources or data directly from other companies' servers. When that happens, your browser contacts them directly, which means those companies can see your IP address and basic request information. We do not send them anything about you beyond what the request itself contains.

Present on every page:

  • Google Fonts — the icon typeface used throughout the interface.
  • Google Analytics — usage statistics, as described above.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — the spam check on the forms.

Loaded only on the specific tools that need them:

  • Open-Meteo — weather forecasts and air-quality data.
  • CoinGecko and Frankfurter — cryptocurrency and foreign-exchange rates.
  • USGS and Kandilli-sourced feeds — recent earthquake lists.
  • Nager.Date — public holiday dates.
  • Google Public DNS — DNS record lookups.
  • OpenStreetMap and Nominatim — map tiles and place search in the location picker.
  • The World Bank API, jsDelivr and flagcdn — country population, country data and flag images.
  • Zippopotam, rdap.org, ipify / ipapi / ipwho.is and the NHTSA vPIC database — postal code, domain registration, IP address and vehicle VIN lookups respectively.
  • jsDelivr, cdnjs and unpkg — JavaScript libraries such as the map component.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy, which governs what it does with the request. Tools that call an external service say so on their own page.

Offline copies

The site registers a service worker, which stores copies of pages and assets you have already visited in your browser's cache so they keep working offline. This cache lives on your device only. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Your rights

Because we hold almost nothing about you, most requests are simple to satisfy. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. If you are in Türkiye, Law No. 6698 (KVKK) grants you equivalent rights, including the right to learn whether your data is processed and to request its deletion.

In practice, the only personal data we are likely to hold about you is a message you sent us. To have it deleted, write to us from the same address and say so. Analytics data is not linked to your identity and cannot be traced back to an individual on our side; to prevent it being collected at all, use your browser's tracking protection or an ad blocker.

Children

6XC is a general-purpose utility site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are rate-limited and protected by a spam check. That said, no transmission over the internet is completely secure, and you should not send us sensitive personal information — there is no reason to, and we do not ask for it.

Changes to this policy

If the site's behaviour changes — a new analytics tool, a new third-party API — this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted here rather than made silently.

Contact

Questions about this policy, or a request concerning your data, can be sent through the contact page.
