Being reference rates, they are the fair midpoint of the market — not the rate your bank or exchange office will give you. Real-world transactions add a spread, typically 1–4% at banks and more at airports. Use this converter to know the honest baseline, then judge any offer against it.

How current are the rates?
The ECB fixes reference rates once every working day, around 16:00 Central European Time. The date of the fixing you are using is displayed under the result; weekends and ECB holidays carry the last working day's rates.
Why does my bank give a different rate?
Banks and exchange offices apply a spread (margin) on top of the mid-market rate — typically 1–4%, often more for cash or at airports. The difference between this converter and your bank's quote is exactly that margin.
Which currencies are available?
The ~30 currencies the ECB publishes daily: USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, TRY, CHF, CAD, AUD, CNY, INR, KRW, MXN, BRL and the other major European and Asian currencies. Cryptocurrencies are not included.
Is anything sent to this site's server?
