Estimating Photos per Card

Rules of thumb: an uncompressed RAW file ≈ megapixels × 1.05 MB (24 MP ≈ 25 MB; lossless-compressed about 60% of that), while a fine JPEG ≈ megapixels × 0.3 MB. A 128 GB card therefore holds roughly 4,800 RAW or 16,000 JPEG frames from a 24 MP body. Real sizes vary with scene detail and ISO — noisy, detailed frames compress worse.
