Energy = power × time: a 2,000 W heater running 5 hours uses 10 kWh a day — at $0.15/kWh that is $1.50/day, $45/month. Find the wattage on the appliance label or power brick; for devices that cycle (fridges, ACs) actual draw averages 30-60% of rated power, so a plug-in energy meter beats the label.
The big four at home are heating/cooling, water heating, fridge and dryer — small electronics barely register next to anything that makes heat. Standby ("vampire") loads of 5-10 W each still add up across a dozen devices: roughly 100-200 kWh a year.

Where do I find my kWh price?
On your bill: total charges ÷ kWh used gives the true all-in rate including fees — usually noticeably above the advertised energy-only rate.
Does a 2000 W AC really draw 2000 W all the time?
No — compressors cycle and inverters modulate. Expect 40-70% of rated power averaged over a summer day; the calculator's hours field can reflect that (e.g. enter 6 h of compressor time for 10 h of use).
