Frequently Asked Questions
Can I compare different units, like ml against litres?
Yes, as long as they measure the same thing: g and kg convert automatically, as do ml and L. Comparing grams against litres is only meaningful for the same product density, so the tool compares weight and volume groups separately.
What about "per piece" products?
Choose "pieces" as the unit — dishwasher tabs, diapers, coffee pods. The comparison then shows price per piece.
Does a lower unit price always mean the better buy?
Mathematically yes, practically not always: a bigger pack only saves money if you use it before it expires. The tool gives you the honest numbers; the pantry judgment is yours.
